Welcome to FBCC's Cyber Security Event on April 12th.

FBCC warmly welcomes the Chamber’s friends and members to our Cyber Security Event on 12th April in conjunction with Womble Bond Dickinson.

2017 was the year of highly publicised (and generally scary) security breaches and cyber attacks - there was the Equifax hack, WannaCry ransomware, Yahoo and Uber hacks, and the list goes on. In the new world of organised cybercrime, the question is not whether your systems will be breached – but when. And as the government is now confirming the implementations of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) from 25th May 2018, cyber security is a primary risk area for all executive boards. The event will feature talks by industry professionals regarding cyber security threats, GDPR and other current, cyber security related topics.

The Keynote speech is held by Samu Konttinen, the CEO of F-Secure and is followed by talks from Andrew Parsons from Womble Bond Dickinson and William Finley from Marsh. Afterwards there will be a panel discussion where Andrew Parsons and William Finley will be joined by Simo Kohonen from Aves Netsec and David Robinson from SwiftSec. Drinks and canapes will be served after.
