Virtual coffee with Mr. Mikko Hautala, Ambassador of Finland to the United States: U.S. infrastructure law – opportunities at the state level, 26th April 2022

Curious about the opportunities unleashed in the new U.S. infrastructure law?
Join Ambassador Mikko Hautala on April 26 at 16:00-17:00 Finnish time (9:00 – 10:00am EDT) to learn more about how the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) could open doors to Finnish business.

The new law allocates over a trillion dollars in spending on American infrastructure. Recent appropriation laws have increased that amount. Federal and state agencies are now starting to implement the programs in detail. This is a once-in-a-generation moment for American upgrades in a range of sectors, from broadband networks and the electric grid to highways, ports, airports, and EV charging networks. Support also will flow to programs for hydrogen fuels, advanced nuclear power, and other innovative sectors. Ambassador Hautala and his team in Washington, D.C. will explain how the programs are moving forward. They will focus especially on how this tsunami of spending will raise business opportunities in six key states: Colorado, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, and Washington. They will illuminate how the infrastructure programs are moving forward and how Finnish businesses can get involved.
