OPINION
President Donald Trump will be visiting Finland in July, when he’s meeting the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on July 16th. They will be discussing relations between the United States and Russia and a range of national security issues. President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, has also announced that President Trump will be meeting with him as well during his stay in Finland.
Because our task as the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce is to protect, develop, encourage, promote and foster trade, business, financial or professional interests and commercial relations between Finland and the United States, we were happy to hear that the meeting will be held in Helsinki. It will be great publicity for Finland around the world and especially in the United States.
We here at the FACC met with the board in June and already started planning events that will take place during the fall and winter. We have many great ideas and we are truly excited about the future!
Have a great July everyone!
Yours truly,
Esa Jokela
FACC President
