The busy fall season is here once again and we only have one fourth of the year left. Time sure flies.
We have been delighted to see the constant large number of people attending our events during the fall. One of the most popular ones are factory tours to our member companies. The next factory tour will take us to Konecranes Jingjiang Plant and Nantong Future Island Industry Park on November 23rd.
We have lately shared insights on foreigner' social insurance contribution and Individual Income Tax (IIT) reform. These both will significantly change foreigners' working landscape in the future. The next change will affect China's data protection laws as The Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) will become effective as of November 1st, 2021. Together with the Data Security Law (DSL) and the Cyber Security Law (CSL), the Chinese government is building up a stricter regulatory regime for privacy protection, data security and network security. We will share information on the new data laws with PwC on October 14th and are also happy to join Finland-China Business Association and Kolster for a webinar on October 27th. The biggest happening in October will be Nordic Marketing Day 2021 on October 28th. It is the first-ever and the biggest get-together for marketing, communications, sales and creative experts working for Nordic business in China.
