Summer is soon over and kids are back in school. In Finland, the annual declaration of the school peace was held on August 22nd in Vantaa. This year’s theme was making an influence on how small achievements can make a big effect. The school peace is declared annually in Finland to give an uplifting start to the beginning of the school semester throughout the nation.
According to Time magazine, Finland has one of the best places to visit in the world when the sauna facility, Löyly, in Helsinki, was selected to Time’s list of 100 World’s Greatest Places in 2018. The list also included two attractions from Florida: Pandora: The World of Avatar at Disney World and Underwater Museum of Art in South Walton.
We would also like to congratulate the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, who had his 70th birthday on August 24th.
