Summarizing FinnCham Brazil internship - Vladimir Gogolev
During my internship at the Finland Brazil Chamber of Commerce (FinnCham Brazil) in Campinas, I had the unique opportunity to immerse myself in various projects that spanned multiple sectors, including agriculture, environmental governance, and innovation. Working under the guidance of Gerson Pacheco, the Institutional Relations Director, I was involved in meaningful initiatives that emphasized sustainable development, green transition, and digitalization.
One of my key responsibilities was to assist in marketing efforts aimed at increasing the visibility of Finland and its companies in Brazil through:
· Events with Finncham
· Out-of-office events
· Students’ activities
· Personal contacts
· Finncham projects
Through all these activities I was acting like Sales Representative of Finland in general and specific companies and opportunities.
My role also encompassed participation in Agricultural project, where I developed a presentation titled "Breakthrough possibilities for food and agriculture sector," which I shared with local companies’ representatives. This presentation highlighted the need for transformative changes in the agrifood sector to improve sustainability and reduce food loss and waste and showcased opportunities what could be opened by specific Finnish companies in this sector.
Throughout my internship, I embraced the principles of teamwork and open communication. I actively participated in different events and connected with new contacts through LinkedIn. This experience not only allowed me to apply the skills I acquired during my studies at Business College Helsinki but also provided me with invaluable insights into international business dynamics.
I am grateful for the guidance and support I received from my colleagues, especially Gerson Pacheco, who played a crucial role in my journey. This internship has been a transformative experience, enabling me to understand the intricacies of business operations while fostering connections between Finland and Brazil.
